Our principal activity is the manufacture of flexible printed electronics products to customer designs, using the best technology and innovation. We are however, much more than "just printers". Since 1990, we have been leading innovators in all areas of printed industrial interface products, and our experience in technical development, design, product application and manufacturing has given us the qualifications to provide our customers with a total "concept to market" solution. To top it all off, we manufacture everything in our state of the art production facility in Brisbane, Australia. Giving you the best quality product for your solution.

As we face steep rises in electricity prices, managing energy use plays an increasingly important role in business operations.
Aware of the rising costs and impact on the environment, during 2015 we decided to engage consultants to undertake an energy audit/assessment of our site. Our goal was to identify energy savings, but more importantly, reduce our carbon footprint. In an effort to do our part and contribute to preserving the environment any way that we can for future generations, we’ve made some changes to the business that we’re proud of.

The outcome of the audit were recommendations to implement an alternative energy plan that would return cost-effective outcomes both in the short and long term. The on-site survey analysis indicated electrical usage data of 129,104 kWh per annum. Our site’s greenhouse gas emissions represented 102 tonnes of carbon dioxide released per year. Something had to be done.

By taking action and implementing the integrated recommendation, Reid Print Technologie's annual electricity bill has been halved, with the savings "future proofing" us as future electricity price rises occur. The initial project involved replacing the majority of Reid Print Technologie's existing lighting in the factory and office spaces with high quality LED technology, implementation of an on-site generated renewable energy power source – solar panels. We’re excited about this change and reducing our Carbon Footprint.

Since the completion of the initial project, extra Solar PV panels have been added to maximise our electricity savings. Also, to ensure that our highly computerised equipment is safeguarded from external elements, the facility has been further protected with the installation of power regulating and surge equipment.
